KY Firefighters Battling Strip Mall Fire

Louisville firefighters were evacuated after officers questioned the building's integrity.

Firefighters are battling a two-alarm fire in a strip mall in Louisville's Russell neighborhood Wednesday morning.

Louisville Fire Major Bobby Copper said the fire involved working businesses in the strip mall. Crews pulled out when they feared the structure may collapse.

More than 70 firefighters from 12 stations were on the scene, WHAS reported.

Firefighters remain at the scene.
